JCC Payment Systems has more than 20 years of experience and expertise in the card-processing business. JCC's primary role is to provide high quality financial and data infrastructure services to the banking and commercial community in Cyprus.


The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out audits with a view to assess the adequacy and efficiency of the systems, procedures and controls in place, in terms of effectively handling all type of risks.

This assessment includes the effectiveness and adequacy of organisational structure, human resource management, corporate governance policies and procedures, the systems which govern the production of financial and management information and the information technology systems in general, the outsourcing arrangements, the disaster recovery and business continuity plans, and the compliance procedures.

The successful candidate will report to the Board of Directors through the Audit Committee.


Develop and document the annual audit plan, making use of an appropriate risk based methodology and determine priorities for the effective allocation of audit resources
Prepare and develop audit programs and use statistically correct sampling
Perform comprehensive IT, operational, financial and compliance audits, test internal controls and document findings and make appropriate recommendations to management
Communicate results upon completion of each audit engagement, by means of formal reports supported by appropriate audit evidence, describing audit objectives, scope, issues identified, recommendations and management action plans
Monitor findings to their resolution and ensure management action plans are implemented
Cooperate and regularly communicate with the heads of risk, information security and compliance functions for assessing emerging risks
Study, evaluate and apply, where appropriate, International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing
Interact regularly with the Chairman of the Audit Committee
Interact with all levels of management within the company
Any other responsibility defined in the Organisation’s Internal Audit Charter

Good knowledge of internal audit standards and proper audit practices for IT, financial, operational and compliance audits
Strong analytical skills and understanding of internal control concepts
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Ability and willingness to review and understand company policies and procedures and ensure related compliance
Ability to recommend effective solutions to identified problems, based on best procedures and practices
Ability to create concise reports and present findings and recommendations
Objective, logical and enquiring mind
Strong professional speaking and writing skills in both Greek and English
Strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and an ability to work autonomously with minimum supervision to high standards
Confidentiality, discretion and fair judgement
Ability and willingness to support others and work as a team
Ability and willingness to work with all levels of staff and management

A bachelor and/or Master Degree in the field of Computer Science/Finance/ Accounting/Risk Management or related field at an accredited institution or a professional qualification, such as ACCA/ACA/CPA
A professional certification (i.e. CIA, CISA, CISSP) will be considered as an advantage
At least five years of post-qualification experience in a large audit firm or experience in a financial institution's internal audit department.
