Mission
The Stakeholder Affairs Expert supports UEFA’s day-to-day engagement with professional football stakeholders,
such as the European Club Association, the European Leagues, FIFPRO and agents. He or she enhances UEFA’s
capacity on key policy matters by promoting constructive and productive dialogue, while encouraging mutual
collaboration and trust between UEFA, its members and professional stakeholders. The Stakeholder Affairs Expert
builds and consolidates stakeholder relationships necessary for the fulfilment of the memorandums of
understanding, and performs collaborative research and information gathering for key projects that reinforce
stakeholder relations. He or she works in close cooperation with other UEFA divisions, such as Football.
Key Responsibilities
- Administering and supporting the UEFA Professional Football Strategy Council, the EU social dialogue committee
and other stakeholder working groups, such as the FIFA transfer system task force;
- Performing key duties to consolidate relations between UEFA and professional clubs, leagues and players’ unions
as necessary for promoting general policy issues; and where appropriate liaising with colleagues in other UEFA
divisions;
- Continuously monitoring, assessing and advising the UEFA Administration on stakeholder activities affecting
UEFA and its members;
- Helping to draft and implement MoU with professional football stakeholders, including coordinating and monitoring
projects on a wide range of topics;
- Helping to run evidence-based research projects that consolidate and facilitate cooperation between UEFA and its
stakeholders, ensuring the necessary internal and external coordination;
- Conducting research and drafting documents or presentations to explain complex subjects to various audiences;
- Liaising with and assisting national associations on professional football matters;
- Helping to forge coalitions with other sports organisations with a view to achieving common or shared objectives
where our interests overlap.
Profile of successful candidate
Experience required:
- 6-8 years of gradually more senior experience dealing with professional football related matters in an international
environment
- Proven knowledge of the organisation of professional football globally
Education:
- Postgraduate qualification in law, political science, international relations, economics or similar
Languages:
- English / Proficient
- Fluency in at least one other European language
Additional requirements:

- Excellent project-management, organisational and administrative skills, showing a methodological approach
combined with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Strong analytical and written and oral communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
